Pieper Lewis turns herself in year and a half after Iowa Dept. of Corrections issues arrest warrant

DES MOINES, Iowa — Pieper Lewis, a teenage sex-trafficking victim convicted of fatally stabbing a man whom she accused of abusing her, is now in custody after she turned herself in on Friday. She is listed on the Polk County inmates roster.

Lewis, now 21, made the decision more than a year after the Iowa Department of Corrections put out a nationwide arrest warrant. Her whereabouts were not known since April 6, 2024, Iowa Corrections officials said.
