Charges dismissed against suspect in Green Bay stabbings due to mental health issues

GREEN BAY (WLUK) — Due to mental health issues, criminal charges were dismissed against Neng Vue in connection with two stabbings on the city’s east side.

Vue, 77, was charged with five counts, including second-degree recklessly endangering safety, for the Oct. 8 incident on Basten Street, near Danz Park.

A competency review had been ordered. Competency refers to a defendant’s ability to understand the court proceedings and assist in his own defense. Results were scheduled to be discussed in court Friday…
