Nasal spray recall expanded over microbial contamination concerns

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Additional nasal sprays are being recalled, federal health officials say, expanding a nationwide recall issued last week.

A notice shared by the Food and Drug Administration on Tuesday shows MediNatura New Mexico, Inc. is now recalling all lots of its ReBoost Nasal Spray and its ClearLife Nasal Spray. Both homeopathic sprays were sold online and in retail stores.

Last week, one lot of ReBoost Nasal Spray was recalled after it was found to “contain yeast/mold and microbial contamination.” Levels of Achromobacter detected in the nasal spray were “above specifications,” according to the recall.
