ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A St. Louis County woman is facing serious charges after she is accused of beating two children with a spatula.
According to the Maryland Heights Police Department, officers learned of the alleged child abuse on Dec. 17. The criminal complaint filed by Maryland Heights police says one victim, a 12-year-old, reported that Lisa Layton, of St. Ann, “beat him with a silicone spatula.”
Through examinations, officers were able to identify bruises on the 12-year-old boy. Authorities say another victim, an 11-year-old boy, told law enforcement that Layton beat him with a silicone spatula as well…
