Rockford, Illinois – A Rockford man already on pretrial release was taken into custody Wednesday after police say a narcotics investigation led to the discovery of illegal drugs and multiple firearms inside a residence on the city’s west side.
Rockford Police confirmed that Joseph Krispin, 28, was arrested following the execution of a search warrant at a home in the 3000 block of Marshall Street, where officers recovered methamphetamine, cocaine, cannabis, and two weapons, including a shotgun and a rifle.
Investigation Led by Narcotics Unit
According to police, the department’s Narcotics Unit began investigating Krispin earlier this year based on information suggesting ongoing drug trafficking activity. Detectives gathered evidence over several months before moving forward with Wednesday’s operation.
The investigation culminated in a search of the Marshall Street residence, where officers located controlled substances and firearms believed to be connected to illegal distribution. Police described the seizure as the result of targeted enforcement rather than a random stop or patrol encounter.
