New fire chief tapped in Bossier City

BOSSIER CITY, La. — Blair Bockhaus has been named the new fire chief for Bossier City.

Mayor Tommy Chandler made the announcement Tuesday as the city said good-bye to retiring Fire Chief Brad Zagone. His last day is Jan. 2.

Bockhaus brings 21 years of service to the Bossier City Fire Department, where he serves as administrative EMS supervisor. Bockhaus has been a paramedic for over 18 years and also served as a SWAT medic with Bossier City SWAT team…
