Threat on gaming platform leads to Kansas school lockdown; one arrested

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — An online threat caused a Kansas school district to lock down on Friday.

The Ulysses Police Department said it was contacted by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation just before 10 a.m. after the agency received a tip about a threat made in Ulysses on an online gaming platform.

Law enforcement contacted USD 214, which immediately locked down school buildings as a precaution.
