WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – It is a breezy start to the day, and the wind will only get worse. A Storm Team 12 Weather Alert is in effect until 6 p.m. for wind gusts between 50 and 60 mph causing travel troubles (from blowing dust), power outages, possible damage, and high fire danger.
After reaching the 60s and 70s on Wednesday, today will be much cooler with highs mostly in the upper 40s and lower 50s. Temperatures will tumble into the 20s by Friday morning, but the breeze will make it feel like 10 to 15 degrees.
After another warming trend on Friday and Saturday with highs in the 50s and 60s, a relatively weak cold front will sweep across the state Saturday night into early Sunday. However, expected highs in the upper 40s and lower 50s on Sunday afternoon keep us above average for middle December…
