Motorcyclist killed in crash in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that killed a motorcyclist. APD said that a gray Jeep was in the left turn lane on westbound Menaul Blvd. and had an unprotected green light to make a turn onto southbound University Blvd. The motorcyclist was headed east on Menaul in the far right lane and had a green light. The motorcyclist hit the Jeep in the intersection.

The driver of the motorcyclist died on scene. The driver of the Jeep was not injured. APD said neither driver had signs of impairment, and the speed of the motorcyclist “does appear to be a factor.”
