Springfield’s Hope Project brings holiday joy to 100 families

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Willamalane is teaming up with the Hope Project to bring holiday cheer to families in need. This partnership is dedicated to providing free gifts to local families.

In its third year, the collaboration is set to support more than 100 families. The gifts include bicycles, toys, socks, jeans, and other essential items.

“There’s something about when kids see something that they know they probably wouldn’t get and they get a chance to get it, whether it’s a bike or a toy, or new clothes,” said Ken Brown, executive director of The Hope Project. “This year’s a really, kind of different year in the sense that a lot of the requests we got were not for big toys or things, but they were simple items like shoes or socks or clothing, things like that, I think it’s just been a tough year.”…
