Weiner Wonderland takes over Holiday Night of Lights

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – On Shelikof Street, a local attraction for dachshund owners and their families has been lighting up the night for years.

The yard, covered with around 50 dachshunds, features a sign that says ‘Weiner Wonderland’ – the name Marvin and Kelly Kneapers came up with.

The Kneapers own two dachshunds themselves and at one time in the past, owned eight dachshunds. They say they often foster older dachshunds when they see one in need.

The Kneapers decided to share their dachshund magic with those who drive by, saying they have decorated their yard for about 15 years and keep adding to it each holiday season…
