COLONIE — The Advance Albany County Alliance was awarded a $500,000 state grant to redevelop the former Al Tech Specialty Steel site in Colonie.
The grant is coming from Empire State Development’s FAST NY program, which is designed to get prime manufacturing sites in the state ready for redevelopment. The Al Tech site has been vacant for more than two decades, but is considered one of the best potential manufacturing sites in all of Albany County.
