AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Toys for Tots has extended its donation deadline to Monday as the organization works to fulfill more than 900 toy requests with Christmas less than a week away.
The original deadline was Friday, but coordinators said they received numerous calls from people who could donate through the weekend.
The Sand Hills community held a holiday party on Thursday featuring dinner, a raffle, and year-end celebrations.
“I had a lot of calls from people who can get here through the weekend up until Monday. That’ll give me a chance to fill some of these applications that came in,” said Keith Phillips, CSRA Toys for Tots coordinator.
