The iconic Mucky Duck restaurant on Captiva Island that’s known for its sunset views has filed a lawsuit.
The beachfront restaurant alleges the Captiva Erosion Prevention District illegally built a 12-foot artificial dune barrier. The Mucky Duck, Inc., Lucky Duck RE LLC, sued Captiva Erosion Prevention District Board of Commissioners and the Captiva Erosion Prevention District.
Mucky Duck has “the rights to view the Gulf, the beach and the sunsets from the Historic Property under Florida law,” the lawsuit said. “The defendants acted recklessly and intentionally.”…
