One Dead After Devastating House Fire in Waxhaw
I woke up this morning reading about a tragic incident in Waxhaw that shook the local community. Around 4:30 a.m., fire crews were called to a house on New Town Road, near Billy Howie Road, where a fire had broken out.
The flames spread quickly enough that part of the road had to be closed to allow emergency responders to do their work safely.
When the crews arrived, they discovered someone had died inside the house near a side door. The sheriff’s office hasn’t shared any additional details about the victim yet, but the news of a lost life is heartbreaking for anyone living nearby…
