Early fallout from DeWine THC announcement is hardly uplifting

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Early reaction to Gov. Mike DeWine’s announcement that he will reject a grace period that would have allowed sale of intoxicating hemp beverages was that of disappointment Friday afternoon.

DeWine’s plan to make them illegal with other hemp products beginning in mid March drew a response from Great Lakes Brewing Company co-CEO Chris Brown.

Cleveland’s flagship brewery had been test marketing THC beverages in their Ohio City brewpub location and were poised to step more fully into the marketplace with a finalized product…
