South Carolina mother convicted in bathtub drowning of 6-year-old, attempted killing of sister

SAINT HELENA ISLAND, S.C. — A South Carolina woman has been convicted in the intentional drowning death of one daughter and the attempted murder of her sister, prosecutors announced on Thursday.

The 14th Circuit Solicitor’s Office said 40-year-old Jamie Michele Bradley-Brun of St. Helena Island was found guilty on Thursday in the 2023 drowning death of her 6-year-old daughter, Mackay Bradley-Brun and the attempted killing of her 8-year-old daughter in the same way.

A judge sentenced Bradley-Brun to 50 years in prison for murder and 30 years for attempted murder. The sentences will be served at the same time…
