Erie County restaurant inspections for Dec. 10-16, 2025

At least once a year, Erie County Department of Health officials inspect all restaurants and stores that sell unpackaged food. Here is a list of violations recorded Dec. 10-16.

4 critical violations

Gurkha Grill & Chill, 1214 E. 38th St. (Ready-to-eat foods were not datemarked, or were kept past seven days. Exposed internal components of a broken wall air conditioner located above clean dishes was treated with pesticide powder. Unit will be removed; hood/filters found with grease build-up/drips and need to be cleaned; facility has lost its certified food employee over three months ago) Also three noncritical violations. Dec. 16

3 critical violations

Cherry Speed Check 2: 563 W. 26th St. (The handwash sink held utensils and old food residue; ready-to-eat food prepared in the facility was held for more than 24 hours without datemark; Soap was not available in either the men’s or women’s bathrooms.) Also three noncritical violations. Dec. 15

One critical violation

CVS Pharmacy, 124 Erie St. Edinboro Boro. (Exterior door of the food facility has a gap and does not protect against the entry of insects, rodents and other animals.) Dec. 10

One noncritical violation
