A new way to give back is hitting the road in Erie. A brand new bloodmobile for the Community Blood Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania is hitting the road soon.
Inside this new truck, people will be able to give blood in a timely manner.

Megan Solensky is the community relations specialist for the Community Blood Bank. She said the truck is designed for efficiency.
“So the process is actually really simple, you come in you get kind of a mini check up, you have a questionnaire you have to fill out then we check your blood pressure, we do an iron check you’re actually only in the chair for about 10-15 minutes and than after that is when you have your snacks,” she said.
