WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — State data from 2024 found that there are 11,626 homeless people across North Carolina. 2,070 of them were children.
That total number is a 19.2% increase from just the year before. In Greensboro and High Point, the total was 665. In Winston-Salem, it was 627.
