More than 13K without power in Nashville as rain, strong winds move through the Midstate

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Nashville Electric Service is reporting that more than 13,000 customers are without power Thursday night as strong winds and rain moves through the region.

A First Alert Weather Day remains in effect Thursday evening as showers accompanied by embedded isolated thunderstorms continue into the evening. A couple of those storms could become strong and produce even more powerful wind gusts.
