Pensacola man convicted in drive-by shooting death of 70-year-old woman

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A Pensacola man has been convicted of first-degree murder, as well as other charges.

According to a news release from the Office of the State Attorney, First Judicial Circuit of Florida, Terrance Lovelle Gross, Jr. was convicted of first-degree murder, shooting at/into a building and/or vehicle, and fleeing to elude a law enforcement officer.

Gross was allegedly part of a group of three individuals who carried out a shooting that later killed 70-year-old Myra Hayes.

On June 24, 2024, a white car with a black gun extended out of the window was seen on Erress Boulevard. Shots rang out in the entire block, and Hayes was shot in the neck while sitting in her yard with her family…
