Richmond police say no charges will be filed in fatal November shooting

Prosecutors have declined to file criminal charges in the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old Richmond man following a gunfire exchange near Carlson Boulevard and Potrero Avenue, police said.

The Richmond Police Department presented the case to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office for review, Richmond Police Public Information Officer Lt. Donald Patchin said. “After evaluating the investigation, the District Attorney’s Office declined to file charges against either subject.”
