American Airlines adds nonstop flight from Roanoke to Dallas Forth Worth

ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) — Air travelers in the region will have one extra destination to choose from among the nonstop flights at Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport. Beginning June 5, 2026, American Airlines will offer daily service to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

ROA officials say the new direct flight will enhance access to the airline’s global network and provide connections to destinations across the Southwest United States and Mexico, as well as Tokyo, Seoul, Honolulu, Maui and more.

“This is a banner moment for ROA and our entire region,” said Mike Stewart, executive director of the Roanoke Regional Airport Commission. “For years, government leaders, the business community, and leisure travelers have requested Dallas-Fort Worth service and better connectivity to the west.”

The nonstop flight to DFW will depart daily at 7 a.m., and incoming flights from the Texas airport will arrive in Roanoke around 11 p.m. The airline plans to operate the flight with the dual-class CRJ-900 aircraft…
