Police: Loaded handgun found in tampered shed linked to Rochester shooting victim

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 36-year-old man was arrested following a shooting, according to Rochester police.

Officers say they responded to Eddy Street on November 20 around 5 p.m. for reports of a man shot. They found 36-year-old Tamar Shipman with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Shipman told police he was robbed on Silver Street.

During the investigation, officers discovered a tampered shed on Silver Street. Inside, they tell us they found a loaded Smith & Wesson handgun with a spent casing. Detectives later found out Shipman had possessed the gun at some point…
