TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – As Christmas comes around the corner, Lofty Pursuits is bending tradition by making one of the most iconic holiday candies from scratch.
The Lofty Pursuits head candy maker uses molten sugar that is heated, stretched and folded again to make homemade candy canes in 12 different flavors.
The candy is then kneaded and pulled until it turns glossy white, then twisted with bright red stripes. Then it is cut and a hook is formed…
