ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A man learned his punishment for breaking into the MVD Old School of Driving and taking off in one of their cars. Last year, Roman Baca broke into the driving school on Coors Boulevard and stole multiple laptops and even the car they used to teach new drivers. Investigators said he left a note behind, threatening the business owners not to contact police, and that he was watching them. He was later arrested while driving the car and charged with burglary.

On Friday, Baca went before a judge. “Looking at the crimes that Mr. Baca engaged in, certainly they are not violent necessarily, but they are damaging to the community,” said Judge Cindy Leos.
