Latter-day Saints provide food donation truck to Caldwell community

A semi-truck carrying 40,000 pounds of food arrived in Caldwell on Thursday morning to support families throughout the Treasure Valley, according to a news release from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The donation was produced by the church and funded by church member contributions as part of a national initiative sending 250 truckloads of food to communities across the country, the release stated. The initiative celebrates America’s upcoming 250th anniversary while highlighting volunteerism championed by JustServe.org.
