SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — On Friday, we here at KELOLAND News are saying goodbye to a woman who has been one of the biggest cheerleaders for the newsroom — Beth Jensen.
Beth has been our news director for the last 18 years but before that she was a producer and reporter.

It was 1996 when a young Beth Fuller entered the KELOLAND newsroom and as a reporter, she covered everything from drive-in theaters and record Powerball drawings to tragic helicopter crashes and crimes. But her love for journalism started way before all of that.
“My parents were both print journalists and we used to have to bring a newspaper article to the dinner table,” Beth said. “But then when I was in grade school even I knew I wanted to go into broadcast journalism because I thought I would rather watch a video of the space shuttle taking off than read an article about it.”
In 2001, Beth became the Executive Producer before eventually stepping into the News Director role in 2008. She led the newsroom through everything from ownership changes to the ever-changing digital world…
