2 Identified In Suspected Poaching Of Blacktail Near Sweet Home

Oregon fish and wildlife troopers want to talk to a couple of men caught on trail camera dragging an apparently poached blacktail out of the woods last week on the eastern side of the Willamette Valley.

The duo are suspected of unlawfully killing the deer and trespassing on private property near Scott Mountain Road, which is west of Sweet Home.

Troopers responded to the scene on Wednesday, December 10, and collected video evidence, including a seven-second clip of the two men briskly dragging the antlerless animal down a logging road. They released the footage and a still image to the public this afternoon in an email headlined “OSP Fish & Wildlife Ask for Public’s Help to Identify Poachers – Linn County”…
