Peoria is gearing up to pay homage to one of America’s greatest civil rights leaders with “Unity in Peoria – Celebrating the Dream of Martin Luther King Jr.” This event, open to all residents at no charge, aims to embrace the values Dr. King stood for: community togetherness, service, and social justice. Set for January 17, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Centennial Plaza behind the Peoria City Hall located at 8401 W.
