Firefighters battle two first-alarm fires in north Phoenix

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Firefighters had a busy day to start the weekend after extinguishing two first-alarm fires in north Phoenix on Saturday.

Around 6 a.m., Phoenix firefighters first received reports of smoke and flames coming out of a building near 15th Avenue and Deer Valley Road. The response was upgraded to a first-alarm, with more units requested to help battle the blaze.

According to Phoenix Fire Capt. Todd Keller, the building houses several businesses, including a garage door company, printing press and landscaping company. Capt.
