TACOMA, Washington (KHON2) — A Washington State Patrol trooper with Hawaii ties passed away while on duty on Friday, Dec. 19, in Tacoma, Washington.
Washington State Patrol said Tropper Tara-Marysa Guting was investigating a car accident when she was hit by another vehicle just before 7:30 p.m. PST on southbound State Route 509 near milepost 2, south of the Port of Tacoma.
Police said witnesses at the scene rendered aid, but Guting ultimately succumbed to her injuries…
