The former Angie’s Tavern at Brecksville and Hillside roads is under new ownership. Tim Jermann’s long history as a chef combined with his connection to the city has resulted in the rebranded Declaration of Independence Tavern.
Jermann bought the tavern from the previous owners in January but kept that announcement quiet as he worked on creating new dishes and bolstering the menu. His interest in food began at a young age when he worked at a former Angie’s Tavern that his grandmother owned in Brecksville.
“Cooking is in my blood,” he said.
