Teen pleads guilty in fatal stabbing of Clifton Park man

CLIFTON PARK — An 18-year-old charged with murder in connection with a fatal stabbing in late May pleaded guilty in Saratoga County Court on Friday, according to court records.

Jaiden Ildefonso, of Clifton Park, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of 20-year-old Simon Brault on May 31.

Ildefonso was charged the day after Brault was killed. In early June, Undersheriff Jeffrey Brown at the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office told the Times Union the stabbing happened in front of a residence on Beresford Road when Ildefonso drove himself and two others to confront Brault’s brother about a dispute they were having.
