Gus Manos, one of the owners of Zesto of West Columbia and a longtime pillar in the Midlands, has died, his family and business announced. He was remembered as a devoted family man, veteran, public servant and a central figure in the West Columbia and Springdale communities.
Manos helped guide Zesto of West Columbia for decades, building the restaurant into a local landmark while also serving the wider community through public service and leadership roles. In a statement, the business said Manos’ influence extended far beyond the restaurant, helping shape the Town of Springdale and the greater West Columbia area through years of commitment and service.
In a Facebook post on the restaurant’s page it read in part quote: “We are incredibly grateful for his legacy, his dedication, and the example he set through a lifetime of hard work, kindness, and commitment to other.”…
