Ocala man sentenced for fleeing from MCSO deputies in stolen patrol car

An Ocala man will spend two decades in prison after jurors found him guilty of stealing a Marion County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle and leading law enforcement authorities on a high-speed chase.

Earlier this week, a one-day trial ended when a Marion County jury found 42-year-old James Marion Brady guilty on all charges related to a brief high-speed pursuit that occurred in 2024.

Specifically, Brady was convicted of burglary of an authorized emergency vehicle, fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, and grand theft of a motor vehicle. Following his conviction, Brady was sentenced to 20 years in prison…
