Slight cool down before Christmas warm up

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – After some rain Thursday and Thursday night, it dries out for the most part through Christmas week. We’re on track to see near to well above average temperatures in most of the extended forecast.

A cold front moved through overnight and the rain has exited. In its wake, it will be sunny, dry, breezy and a bit cooler. After 40s to start, we’ll have highs in the mid to upper 50s.

Clear and colder Friday night. Near to below freezing temperatures are expected early Saturday with lows in the upper 20s and lower 30s in most spots.
