Threat Prompts Lockdowns at Florida Schools as Armed Suspect Drives Cross-Country

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (CBS12) — An online threat aimed at a child’s school led to lockdowns at four Florida schools as deputies tracked an armed man driving across the country toward Jacksonville.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, 39-year-old Matthew Piner posted a message on social media stating that “anyone possessing or keeping [his child] from me is to be shot on sight.”
