BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — A firefighter was injured in a garage fire that left the rear end of a building destroyed in Battle Creek on Friday night, authorities say.
It happened at around 8:57 p.m., according to the Battle Creek Fire Department. When crews arrived, a vehicle was on fire inside of a large commercial building, the department said.
Firefighters got the flames under control within 40 minutes and crews remained on scene for around three hours. The firefighter suffered a minor injury after a slip and fall, but is expected to make a full recovery, the department said…
