Police standoff at Palace Hotel, SF’s Market Street shut down

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The San Francisco Police Department has shut down a block of Market Street in response to an ongoing standoff with a suspect at the Palace Hotel at 2 New Montgomery St.

Officers responded to a report of possible gunshots fired inside the hotel at 11:57 a.m., San Francisco Fire Department Lt. Mariano Elias told KRON News.

“Officers responded to the scene and located a possible suspect in the building,” SFPD said. “The suspect has refused to comply [with] officers’ commands to exit.”

The hotel has been partially evacuated. There are no known injuries at this time…
