Thousands head to downtown San Francisco for a free, electronic music show

On Thursday evening, a huge electronic dance party filled a block in downtown San Francisco. This event was the latest in a recent uptick of free music events in the city and also part of a broader effort to bring more people into and around the city’s downtown.

A block of Ellis Street was transformed for five hours into a sea of people, pulsing to the beats of electronic artists. Organizers said about 10,000 people had RSVPed online to attend this free, outdoor block party. Multiple electronic artists performed, and the DJ known as Wooli headlined the show.
