FORT PIERCE — The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Arkel Tymere Garcia, 31, who is wanted for questioning in connection with a homicide that occurred Nov. 28 at a residence in the 600 block of South Market Avenue.
Investigators said the victim died from blunt force trauma and smoke inhalation after the home was intentionally set on fire following the attack. Garcia was identified as a person of interest based on evidence recovered at the scene and witness interviews, authorities said.
As the investigation continued, detectives learned Garcia is also wanted in Philadelphia on a homicide charge, with full extradition authorized.
