The people dressed as Santa Claus paddling kayaks and stand-up boards will likely be the second oddest sight at the Ventura Harbor Village on Dec. 20.
Onlookers at the annual Santa Paddle event will include a dozen, maybe more, people dressed in flowered and rainbow-colored caftans, curly wigs the color of carrots and enormous sunglasses. They will be singing, “Come and knock on our door.”
