If the Friday Eight O’Clock Buzz sounds a little cozier than usual this week, that’s because we packed up the studio and set up shop at the one and only Willalby’s Cafe on Willy Street for our third annual Live from Willalby’s Friday 8 O’Clock Buzz! Despite a little ice on the sidewalks, the diner was full and the coffee was aflowing.
Broadcasting live from the counter right across from Willy Street Ace Hardware, this year’s show brought together a pretty incredible mix of voices to help us say goodbye to 2025 and look ahead to what’s next. At various booths and stools sat Governor Tony Evers, Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway, and Dane County Executive Melissa Agard—all stopping by to share their “greatest hits” from the past year and talk honestly about leadership, challenges, and hopes for 2026.
