Iconic Rose Hill “Griswold House” spreads holiday spirit

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Michael Russell has been building a Christmas legacy in Rose Hill for two decades. Every year, he turns his home, known as the “Griswold House,” into a holiday wonderland, filled with thousands of lights and inflatable displays.

Russell says the exhibit’s ambiance and the joy it creates are meant for everyone, regardless of age or location.

“My favorite part is when you get someone who’s like 80 plus years old, and it brings back a lot of Christmas memories for them,” Russell said.

One of Russell’s favorite features at the display is a guestbook at the entrance. Visitors can sign it, documenting the many Christmas lovers who have come to see the display…
