Local veteran gets life-changing help from “Operation Restore Hope”

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Tania Srouji served four years in the U.S. Army with the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. She was the first in her family to join the military.

Srouji says her role didn’t involve jumping from planes — but it did mean rappelling from helicopters and assisting in rescue missions.

“It was a lot of fun,” she said. “For someone who’s scared of heights, it was definitely an interesting place to be.”…
