Competitive Irish dancing is welcoming newcomers in Myrtle Beach

Drake Irish Dance is welcoming ambitious young dancers to learn a new jig in Myrtle Beach.

Instructor Cassie Nassivera spent 15 years as a professional Irish dancer in the New York City metropolitan area and said she is excited to bring the step-style dance to aspiring dancers in the Myrtle Beach community.

“One of the coolest things that I’ve been able to witness is the children bonding over getting over the fear of trying something new, working hard, coming to every class and learning self-discipline through their commitment to this,” Nassivera said. “Watching that and watching them building friendships based on that has been extremely rewarding and inspiring to watch.”…
