STUART — Three Martin County School District instructors received the district’s top honor last month when they were named Teachers of the Year by both the MCSD and the Education Foundation of Martin County during a special awards ceremony in Port St. Lucie.
During the Nov. 14 celebration at the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Event Center, district and foundation officials honored Palm City Elementary fourth-grade teacher Alexis Gray, Martin County High School science teacher Chanda Leon and Stuart Middle School social studies teacher Cassie Mailhot as the top three instructors for the 2025-2026 school year.
