Holiday market hits El Vado Motel

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – There was a good turnout at the El Vado Holiday Market as the community came to shop, eat, and celebrate local businesses. Over 20 vendors set up in front of the El Vado Motel for a festive afternoon, selling handmade jewelry, art, and goods, making it a perfect time for gift shopping.

Attendees could stroll through the market to grab a bite to eat, a drink from the taproom, or some sweet treats while they enjoy music from live bands. Organizers say events like these give the community a chance to shop local and support one another.

“The holiday season is hard for everybody, especially for small businesses, and you know, just giving them another platform to sell their wares and get the word out about their business is, you know, that’s the gift to me at that point, is just helping people out,” said event host Taylor Drob.

Saturday’s event wrapped up in the afternoon. Organizers say they plan to host the holiday market again next year…
